P&C Producer Engages The Howard Group to Find a New Agency

Successful, Veteran P&C Producer

Business Description:

The client was a successful P&C Producer that had only been with one agency their entire career, so consequently they’d never moved their Book of Business.  The Producer began to have concerns over service levels and client contacts from within their agency; in short, they felt their P&C clients were not being serviced well and they wanted to move to an agency with similar insurance markets and better service.

Business Objective:

The client made a decision to move their Book of Business to a new agency and needed to do it quickly and seamlessly for their clients, which meant finding a broker with similar carriers, higher service levels, and an overall approach that aligned with that of the Producer.


The client engaged Randy Hudlin at The Howard Group to exclusively represent them in finding interested P&C agencies that would purchase and absorb their Book of Business. Randy met with the producer to discover their goals for servicing accounts, as well as what types of agencies would best serve their clients’ needs. He was able to find two different agencies that the Producer liked and that could afford to purchase their book and retain both the Producer and Account Manager.
