This regional Pharmacy Benefit Manager is one of the fastest growing PBM’s in the industry.  Over the last 10 years this PBM has grown every year at a minimum of 20%. It has also been ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in its metro area for the last 4 years. It is independently owned and has never been affiliated or owned by a drug manufacturer, mail order pharmacy, retail pharmacy chain, or insurance company.

Unlike other PBMs, this organization has an active wellness program that encourages compliance in the taking of medication instead of simply encouraging a patient to refill prescriptions.

Business Objective:

The organization identified a new market for its services. That market is the hospice industry. As a result, this PBM needed to identify and recruit a senior executive that had previous hospice experience in the PBM industry to lead this new business initiative. This executive would have complete responsibility for the success of this new business division of the company.
